Bravo Telecom, formerly known as IT2IS Inc., is a Canadian telecommunication company. It offers internet, TV, residential, and business phone services.[1][2]

Overview

Headquartered in Jean-Talon, Montreal, Canada,[3] with a branch in Laval,[4] Bravo Telecom serves the province of Quebec, including the cities Gatineau and Sherbrooke.[1][5][2] The company offers a wide range of products and services for individuals and businesses, a high-speed internet package with unlimited downloads, including several technologies, cable, and hybrid fiber, with speeds up to 200M. Bravo Telecom also offers Voice over IP (VoIP) phone lines with unlimited local calls and up to 1000 minutes per month of long-distance calls to Canada and the US.

History

2008 - 2010

The company was founded by Yasser Joudaane in 2008 under the name IT2IS Inc. as an internet-only telephony solution based on Voice over IP.[1] In 2010, after the rebrand to Bravo Telecom, it decided to expand its product line by becoming a reseller of unlimited internet services up to 30M, telephone, and residential and business DUO packages.

2011 - 2013

With telephone and cable companies selling resellers wholesale bandwidth every month rather than billing them based on subscriber usage, Bravo Telecom created packages with very competitive pricing in 2011.

In 2013, Bravo Telecom expanded to 5000 customers.

2016 - 2019

In March 2016, Bravo Telecom launched its IP TV service that provides access to TV channels from Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. In 2017, it broadened its store hours for more flexibility[3] and inaugurated a mobile application.[1] In 2019, Bravo Telecom decided to stop the service momentarily to be up to date with technological advances and bring new features and options while increasing its bandwidth for more performance and speed of navigation that marks more than 20,000 customers today. In fall 2019, it expanded by opening a store on the South Shore in Longueuil.[5]

2020 - 2022

Since December 2020, Bravo Telecom has been reselling self-service cell phone packages from the Canadian mobile virtual network operator, Public Mobile, part of the Telus group. It increased the speeds of its internet packages by offering up to 200M of unlimited internet while incorporating a variety of TV channel packages.
