María Belén Ramírez Gallardo^[1](born October 12, 1995) is a Paraguayan-Italian fashion model, beauty queen title holder, journalist, influencer and businesswoman.

Life and Career

Her first contest as a beauty queen was at the age of 19 where she represented the town La Colmena.While she was studying in the University, a designer friend and her parents helped her to enter the competition for Miss World Paraguay and that is how she represented the Paraguarí Department in the national competition in 2016 where she was the finalist of another beauty pageant in which Gallardo couldn’t participate it.

However, in that same year, the manager of the modelling agency where she was working for, invited Gallardo to the casting for a modelling reality television show competition call World Top Model an international modelling contest where top model Claudia Schiffer participated. In this way, Gallardo won the national competition and she went to Milan to represent her country Paraguay, where she ranked among the top 10.

María Belén was born on October 12, 1995 in Asunción, Paraguay. She spent part of her childhood in the countryside, city of La Colmena, district in the Paraguarí Department where her mother is a native. Daughter of attorney Zonia Gallardo and Virgilio Ramírez, being an only child.

Since an early age, Gallardo showed her artistic interest, highlighting her taste for theatre, dance, music and fashion. Her artistic path began when she entered the theatre workshop at her school, Colegio Inmaculado Corazón de María in Asunción, where she took part in several plays.

In 2005, she participated in a children's literary contest for a publishing house where she wrote a story called in Spanish La Primavera and then her story got published in a book.

In 2018, María Belén began her journalism career with the aim of working in the press, although she published several articles written for the University. She started in a program for Radio Cáritas Universidad Católica 680 AM, where she addressed topics about family, music, art and films.

Modelling

María Belén began modelling at an early age working for brands in her country, participating in fashion shows and magazine covers. In December 2021, for the first time she posed for the cover of the American Surreal Magazine in issue 646.In addition to her participation in beauty pageants that inspired her to seek authentic beauty and her desire to have a better world, travelling and doing charity work, joining causes to help the environment, animals, family making her a commercial spokesperson, author and advocate for numerous causes.

Education

In 2014 she entered the Faculty of Philosophy and Human Sciences of the Catholic University of Asunción. She finished her university studies in 2018 receiving a degree in Journalism and Communication.

Personal Life

In 2020, Gallardo got married to Italian businessman Giovanni Pullini in a private ceremony in the Italian embassy in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. The couple met in Geneva, Switzerland in 2018 during holidays. Currently, she is the director of her communication agency Twiga Social where she collaborates with brands and companies such as Uptime App.She has used her blog belengallardo.com and her social media to build her personal brand, to support other creators and to promote charitable causes. Her topics of expertise for fashion, beauty, authentic love, lifestyle and empowering other women has made her a respected source of advice and support from her followers.
