In 2022, He placed at No 32 in Resource Magazine Hot 100, recognised for his efforts that year - in good company with the likes of Greta Thunberg, David Attenborough and many other renowned environmentalists helping to raise awareness around the world. This recognition was given after playing a key role working with (Lagos State Waste Management Authority) LAWMA to update the Medical Waste Handbook and then with Lagos State Government, Nigeria to establish Africa’s first Academy dedicated to Environmental studies.

Early life

Education

Augustus Uadiale, MCIWM CRWM was born January 17, 1989 to Nigerian parents and shuttled between Canterbury, Kent and Lagos, Nigeria through his early life, pre-school and high school. He attended Corona Secondary School in Agbara, Ogun State, then after that did his foundation year in Stafford House College (now [CATS] [3]Canterbury) in Canterbury, Kent. He then studied Computer Interactive Systems the [University of Birmingham][4] and graduated in 2015. As of 2022, he became Chartered Waste & Resource Manager with the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (CIWM) UK after several years of being active in the environmental industry.

Career

After graduation he wanted to pursue his career in music, releasing HipHop songs with his friends going by the name DIAF. The most notable song “TIME” has amassed over 200,000 plays on Spotify. However, due to slow income and the need for financial stability, He started a day job selling Waste Services to commercial clients. While working in the company (which has now been acquired by BIFFA), He met his business partner Arun Sri who was a prominent force in the IT department and they both collaborated on numerous projects together. He Co-founded SafeEnviro in 2018, however it took until 2020 before some traction was gained. In the height of the pandemic, they focused on consultation and helping businesses reopen safely which attracted clients like H&M, Ministry Of Defence, Lagos State Government, Parliament and many more household names. Due to both of the founders background, they decided to harness the power if technology to help accelerate the environmental industry after spotting gaps for improvement in various areas of the industry. A good example is SafeEnviro’s “Project Report Waste” which is a smart tool developed to combat Environmental Crimes and enable waste tracking on a mass scale. This project was endorsed by Professors in the University of Exeter as part of Data Observatory activities done by NICER programme CE-Hub.

Philanthropy

He is also keen in helping the Economically disadvantaged, hence the initiative to help mainly focusing on Food & Education in countries with people that are underprivileged. Twice a year He conducts free food distribution campaign in strategic locations for people struggling with food and All year round offers free Environmental Education and pathways to help people improve bad financial situations.
