Dung Trần(Pronounce: Zung Chan ) (born February 20, 1988) is an entrepreneur, tourism & lifestyle expert, and a columnist. She is also known for community activities, afforestation and inspiring about sustainable tourism towards culture, nature and respect the ecology of the planet.

Dung Trần is currently an ambassador of Xanh Viet Nam. Their Clean Up campaign for environment has spread to more than 30 countries.

Dung Trần's full name is Tran Thi Phuong Dung. Her English name is Elita. Dung Tran has contributed with her team to public a Tourism & Lifestyle Magazine which was launched in 2020.

Career and Accomplishments

Dung Trần has been working part-time while studying since she was in high school. Dung Trần was a regular collaborator of Music Magazine under the Vietnam Composers Association, Song Nhac magazine under Phat Tin Media. She also worked as a manager for her family's restaurant and hotel since she was a student.

Dung Trần graduated with a major in Hospitality & Tourism management. She has had practical experiences in countries. Dung Trần was invited to be an expert for reality shows and publications on tourism & lifestyle. Responding to the press, Dung Tran said: “When I come to any country, I always look for its cultural heritages with the typical colors. I love to see the incredible beauty that nature brings. And cultural characteristics are the essence of each country's history so I always want to learn about it. Interacting with local people and culture makes me happy. ". S.

Dung Trần is a sustainable tourism lover. Answering the World & Vietnam Newspaper under Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Dung Trần said: "I heard about sustainable tourism when I was majoring in Tourism Management. I gradually grasped the bigger picture in later years through trips in countries. I saw that the potential of a truly sustainable tourism effort to alleviate poverty, conserve wildlife and habitats, provide more culturally savvy and of course having a big impact on climate change. Moving towards sustainable tourism has been linked to my personal code of ethics. As an optimist, I believe sustainable tourism can contribute to making great changes to the planet."

In addition, she is also a Founder of B.C Production, producing music with social themes and positive meaning to connect people together with love, peace and solidarity. MV "Mặt Trời Vẫn Tới Mỗi Ngày" by Dung Trần and her team won 2 important nominations of the Mai Vàng Award: "MV of the Year", "Song of the Year" and was honored as the Most Outstanding Work in 2018. In "Mặt Trời Vẫn Tới Mỗi Ngày" project, Dung Tran taken 4 roles as a producer, a song co-writer, a scriptwriter and a project manager.

Dung Trần can also design and construct the interior by herself. She has appeared as a Guest in TV programs such as "Vui Sống Mỗi Ngày" VTV3, "Thành Phố Hôm Nay" HTV9, "Nhà Đẹp Quanh Ta" THVL to inspire about how young people can independently design and build their own dream houses.

2017, Dung Tran operated a chain of fashion shops and furniture workshops called Elita House in Da Nang City and Ho Chi Minh City.

Hobbies

Dung Trần can draw, compose, play Piano/ukulele/guitar. She won the first prize in the student singing contest organized by Danang University. She also love to do interior design and write. And Dung Tran is a travel enthusiast.

Columnist Dung Tran announces her new book “Mesmerising Journeys - Follow The Voice Of Your Heart”

Following the inspiration of optimism from "Mặt Trời Vẫn Tới Mỗi Ngày" and memorable experiences for many years, Dung Tran and The Gioi Publishing House launched a duo of books with 2 versions in Vietnamese and English. Her books "Những Hành Trình Mê Hoặc Bất Tận" and "Mesmerising Journey - Follow The Voice Of Your Heart" are published and released in 2023.

Dung Tran shared: "This is not just a book about travel, but through it I want to convey the message of love for life, positive optimism; I want to recall the important role and  In addition, through "Mesmerising Journeys – Follow The Voice Of Your Heart", I hope to transmit  inspiration on how to become a responsible traveler towards sustainable tourism, preserving the precious beauty of Vietnam and the world.

Sharing more about the reason for making both English and Vietnamese versions, Dung Tran said: "Launching an English book in both print format and electronic version is my long-standing wish. In this era, people all over the world are more connected than ever through the internet and social media. People communicate with each other in English. I want foreigners from other countries to have the same language.  read their books in a common language. That's why "Mesmerising Journeys - Follow The Voice Of Your Heart" was born.

From a young girl born in Vietnam, Dung Tran has set her foot on foreign lands.

Her travels took Dung Tran to mysterious places such as the tribal reed floating island of Uros in Peru;  from the cosmopolitan city of New York, Paris, Venice to the enchanting beauty of Istanbul and the stunning desert solitude of the lost city of Petra, Jordan.  From exotic colorful Africa, to South America with its Incas in the shadow of the humid Amazon, to Nordic nights with its magical northern lights, the frigid Arctic, and even Southeast Asia full of pristine beauty...and much more.  Breathtaking scenes seem endless

Author Dung Tran has shown support for women's rights through the book. According to her, in cultures around the world, women play a large role in preserving traditions.  In "Endless Enchanting Journeys", you can encounter from real-life "mermaids" in a village in Korea to long-necked women of the high mountain tribe in Thailand or  traditional beauty of Quechua women in Peru, H-mong and Red Dao women in Vietnam

Community activities

"The covid pandemic has cast a shadow over the world for more than 2 years. Dung Trần has contributed to the national vaccine fund to help Vietnam overcome the pandemic. Dung Tran has also helped orphans in SOS children's village since she was a student until now.

Dung Trần has also participated in blood donation activities, calling for people to donate blood to help patients. She said "Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another - the gift of life. The decision to donate blood can save a life, or possibly many people if your blood is separated into different components- red blood cells, platelets and plasma - can be used individually for many patients" ....

And she has carried out afforestation activities. Answer to interview, Dung Trần said: "I love nature and forests. Forests reduce risks of natural disasters such as floods, landslides, climate change. Forests create biodiversity and balance by ecology. Without forests, many creatures would have nowhere to call home. We depend on forests for our survival, from the clean air we breathe every day, so it is important to preserve and regenerate them"
