Rayan Hamdoush is an Australian woman, from Sydney, who made her way to the al Hawl refugee camp, in Syria, after the collapse of the so-called Islamic State.[1]

According to press reports Hamdoush traveled to ISIS territory with her husband, Mustafa Hajj-Obeid, who is twenty years her senior.[1]

She gave birth to a boy in the al Hawl camp in December 2019.[1]
