Raiden is the Combiner form of the six Trainbots.

History

In Transformers: The Headmasters, Raiden appeared on a number of occasions, often battling with Devastator or Predaking.

Fun Publications

"Ask Vector Prime" revealed that Raiden and his components were produced as part of Japan's "Raiden Initiative", with several of Japan's most brilliant minds collaborating to create him. Most notably, Dr. Takahashi developed the "Heavy Series-Linkage System," which is what enabled Raiden to be formed from the six Trainbots.
