Piston is a fictional character and third party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Crankcase made by Mach 5 and Mech IDeas.

Mech IDeas

Piston is a third party Transformer homage to the Decepticon Triggercon character Crankcase.

This Piston is unrelated to either of the IDW Publishing comic-only Transformers characters named Piston. The first Piston was an Autobot who appeared in Spotlight: Blurr, while the second was a member of the Wreckers in Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye #7.

Development

Mach 5 first displayed renders of Piston on their Facebook page in May 2013.[1] Later than month they went up for preorder on Big Bad Toy Store.

The first color toy images of Gauntlet and Piston appeared on the internet in April 2014.
