Broad Caster is a fictional character made by Junkion Blacksmith in 2011 as a third party Transformer. He is an homage to both the 1984 Transformers character Blaster and Transformers Headmasters sub-line.

Junkion Blacksmith

Little is known about Broad Caster. He is a Headmaster who also transforms into a boom box. He resembles the Transformers Autobot Blaster.

According to his tech specs Broad Caster is very strong, intelligent, tough, brave and skilled. He had better than average firepower. His biggest weaknesses his he is very slow.

Development

At a toy convention in China Broad Caster was called Scouting Officer in early prototype displays.[1]

Broad Caster was previewed at the Third Party Panel at TFcon 2011.[2]

Broad Caster was released in November 2011.

The Radio Free Cybertron podcast for November 9th, 2011 covered Broad Caster in the news. They called it awesome.[3]

Toys

  • Junkion Blacksmith JB-04 Broad Caster (2011)
A remold of Tactical Officer. Turns from robot to radio or head. When inserted in a 1987 Headmaster body he displays SPD 8, STR 6 and INT 8 on the readout. He comes packaged with a collector card (in Chinese) and a small connector which allows him to become the head of other Junkion Blacksmith Headmasters. There is also a shoulder cannon packed in for Tactical Officer.
