Girder is a third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Hauler. The design of Roadcrane was inspired by Studio Ox designs of Grapple.
Fictional biography
Roadcrane was part of the construction team that built the great city that illuminated across the horizons. But when his fellow crewmates and him were captured by the Eliminators, Roadcrane was the only that was able to escape and avoided reprogramming and he joined the ranks of the opposing Steelians. He has taken on the responsibility to find new energy sources to help fuel the Steelian cause. This task has sent him to the far corners of the galaxy and often forces him to change his outer armour plating in order to withstand various harsh climates.
Development
Sculpting for Vulcan was done by Jesslyn Makes Robots.[1]
A prototype of Girder/Roadcrane was among the pictures at the TFcon USA 2015 Third-Party Panel.
