Genesis
Bigfoot Publications was founded by Bestselling Author Deepak Yadav in 2018 to help fellow authors. Deepak Yadav’s first book ‘Walking with you in the shades of love’ was rejected by 14 publishing houses including Penguin, Rupa, Harper collins, Macmillan and Simon & Schulter and was later published by Diamond books in 2013 under the banner of Diamond Pocket Books when he was 17 but here also his experience with Diamond Pocket books was not good. The publishing house lacked basic guidance given to a new author regarding how to brand your product and marketing. While writing his second book, Deepak Yadav found that basic guidance is the basic problem with every publisher in Daryaganj. He made a writer’s community in 2017 under the name Writer’s Club which was started as a Whatsapp Group and later took the shape of Bigfoot Publications.
Founder’s Profile
Deepak Yadav is an alumnus of of Birla School, Pilani the school wing of BITS Pilani, one of the most reputed engineering college in India. Since childhood, Deepak was attracted to writing and his first book Walking with you in the shades of love was published by Diamond Pocket books when he was 17. The book is a take on inter religion marriages in modern India. His second book, Daughters of the Brothel: Stories from Delhi’s Red Light District is a huge hit and have sold more than 12,000 copies since it’s launch in Pune International Bookfair in 2019. The Book revolves around the stories and hardships of sex worker in GB Road, Delhi’s red light district and also focuses on the life of Eunuchs.
