Dr. Alam is a Professor, Orthodontics, Preventive Dentistry Department (Since September 2021), and former Associate Professor (for 5 years), HEAD Preventive Dentistry Department (2 years), Research, Ethics and Scientific Committee HEAD (2 Years), College of Dentistry, Jouf University. And a former Orthodontist at Orthodontic Unit, School of Dental Science, Universiti Sains Malaysia (for 5.6 years), HEAD and Assistant Professor, at Department of Orthodontics, Bangladesh Dental College, Dhaka University (3.1 years). He received his Dentistry training at the University of Dhaka (2001) and his Ph.D. in Orthodontics from Hokkaido University, Japan (March 2008) under a Japanese government scholarship for 5 years.
Achievements:
Prof. Alam has both academic, research, and clinical lead for orthodontics; with more than 1000 publications, and is the author of plenty of books and chapters. His H index is 39 and the RG score is 44.73. He has supervised more than 25 MSc, MOMSurg, and Ph.D. students as a main and co-guide. Currently, he is a supervisor for more than 5 postgraduate students at the School of Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia with both national and international platforms.
As per Stanford USA 2022, 2023 Prof Alam’s name listed as Top 2% Scientist in the world.
Renowned Orthodontic Researcher from Kings College London Published an article in a renowned high Impact Orthodontic Journal, Top-10 most prolific authors within a decade in Orthodontics Prof. Alam’s name appears as one of the best Orthodontic researchers in the world. His name appeared number 1 in the list of highest publications.
