This version of the Skyboom Shield is created from the Race/Road Attack Mini-Con Team and is the natural counter to the Star Saber, forming part of a trio of weapons with it along with the Requiem Blaster.

In Transformers: Animated, the Skyboom Shield is part of Sentinel Prime's equipment along with a lance.
