Scoop is an Autobot Double Targetmaster who turns into a scoop loader. His partners are Tracer (aka Caliburst) and Holepunch.
Fictional biography
A gung-ho fighter who never gives up. Considered the best in the field. Uses cool headed logic and hardened battle tactics to outwit his enemies. Always ready to lend a helping shovel to his fellow Autobots, no matter how dangerous the situation. The kind of soldier you want around when you're pinned down in a slug swamp with no ammunition. Teamed with Tracer who transforms into a twin laser-guided ion blaster, and Holepunch, a former office manager turned military man who transforms into a steel-shattering dual compression cannon.
The fearless resolve of Autobot Scoop makes him one of the most relentless warriors on the battlefield. There's no such thing as danger when you can blast enemies with the combined firepower of Targetmaster allies like Caliburst and Holepunch.
Animated series
Although the animated series stopped making new episodes in the US before Scoop was released, he appeared in animated form along with the other Double Targetmasters in commercials for the toys.
Animation from the commercial was used in the opening credits for season 5 of the Transformers, which retold episodes of earlier seasons. Scoop appeared in them.[1]
When the Generation 2 animated series was aired animated bits of the Generation 1 commercial with Scoop in it were edited into the episode "More Than Meets The Eye Part 1." [2]
