New Bullet Train Robo (is a fictional character from the Machine Robo series. He is a member of the Battle Clan who turns into a bullet train. He was introduced as a toy in 1983, but did not appear in fiction until 1986.

Machine Robo

New Bullet Train Robo is a heroic Machine Robo of the Battle Clan who turns into a bullet train. Because of his robotic nature, New Bullet Train Robo does not need to breath oxygen. He is a racer and guard and uses a pistol weapon.

He is called New Shinkansen Robo in Japanese, but the official English subtitles in episode #14 call him New Bullet Train Robo.

Reception

Animated series

New Bullet Train Robo is first seen in the city of Bamela in episode #15, "Sending Love to the Horizon".[1]

In episode #19, "Race to the Death!", he took part in the race at Momo, running fairly well until (harmlessly) crashing into a pool of water.[2]

Porsche Robo and New Bullet Train Robo guard the central computer in Yamilan city in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos episode #28, "Tough Trailer - 10 Seconds to Detonation"

In episode #28, "Tough Trailer - 10 Seconds to Detonation", New Bullet Train Robo, Porsche Robo and Supercar Robo helped in the defense of Yamilan City but was hit by missiles fired by Garudi lead Gandora forces while defending the city's master computer.[3]

Battle Robo and New Bullet Train Robo were among the volunteers working on the Battle Base in episode #36, "Cannon Fury - Save Amberman".

Note: In episode #14 the preview for next episode mentions that New Bullet Train Robo and others will appear.
