New Shinkansen Robo is a fictional character from the Machine Robo series. He is a member of the Battle Tribe who turns into a bullet train. He was introduced as a toy in 1983, but did not appear in fiction until 1986.

New Shinkansen Robo is a heroic Machine Robo of the Battle Tribe who turns into a bullet train. He is a racer and guard and uses a pistol weapon.

Note: New Shinkansen Robo is never named in the episodes of Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos.
New Shinkansen Robo is first seen in the city of Bamela in episode #15, "Sending Love to the Horizon".[1]
In episode #19, "Race to the Death!", he took part in the race at Momo, running fairly well until (harmlessly) crashing into a pool of water.[2]
In episode #28, "Tough Trailer - 10 Seconds to Detonation", New Shinkansen Robo, Porsche Robo and Supercar Robo helped in the defense of Yamilan City but hit by missiles fired by Garudi lead Gyandlar forces while defending the city's master computer.[3]
Battle Robo and New Shinkansen Robo were among the volunteers working on the Battle Base in episode #36, "Cannon Fury - Save Amber Man".
