New Shinkansen Robo is a fictional character from the Machine Robo series. He is a member of the Battle Tribe who turns into a bullet train. He was introduced as a toy in 1983, but did not appear in fiction until 1986.

Animated series

Porsche Robo and New Shinkansen Robo guard the central computer in Yamilan city in Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos episode #28

New Shinkansen Robo is first seen as a citizen of Bamela.

In episode #19, "Race to the Death!", he took part in the race at Momo, running fairly well until (harmlessly) crashing into a pool of water.

In episode #28, "Tough Trailer - 10 Seconds to Detonation", New Shinkansen Robo, Porsche Robo and Supercar Robo helped in the defense of Yamilan but were seemingly destroyed by Garudi lead Gyandlar forces while defending the city's master computer.
