Spinister is a fictional character from the Transformers series. He is a Decepticon double Targetmaster who turns into a jet and was introduced in 1988.

Transformers: Generation 1

Needlenose is a Decepticon jet and double Targetmaster.

The coolest Decepticon ever to crush an Autobot. Believes the secret to being bad is to be "BAD". Trendy. Fascinated by Earthly fads. Always tries to fit in, even when it's impossible. So busy being cool he seldom joins in battle. Teamed with Sunbeam, a solar powered beach bum who transforms into a light burst discharger and Zigzag, who transforms into a slightly-inaccurate, twin elecrtostatic overloader rifle.

Marvel Comics

Needlenose appeared in issue #62 of the US Marvel Transformers comic.

Animated series

Although the animated series ended in the US before Needlenose was released, he appeared in animated form along with the Double Targetmasters in commercials for the toys. While an animated Transformers series continued in Japan at the time, the Double Targetmasters were not released in Japan, and therefore didn't make it to television there.

Dreamwave Productions

Needlenose and his partners did receive a full page biography in Dreamwave's More Than Meets The Eye series.

Fun Publications

Crankcase, Ruckus and Needlenose were referenced in Around Cybertron by Fun Publications where they attacked a waste depot that they mistook for an energon refinery in Axion Nexus.[1]

IDW Publishing

Needlenose appeared in The Transformers: Spotlight issue #11 on Blaster.
