Mecha is a term referring to a robotic vehicle, usually piloted by a Human but in some instances piloted by aliens or even smaller robots.
History
Transformers
The Transformers franchise features a number of mecha, usually distinguished from its robotic main characters.
Voltron
The Voltron series centers around the titular Voltron mecha, mainly around Lion Voltron, a massive robot made up of five robotic lions, but also included other mecha such as Vehicle Voltron.
