Magmar
Magmar is a fictional character from the Rock Lord series introduced in 1986. He is the leader of the evil Rock Lords.

Rock Lords
Magmar is the power-hungry leader of a Rock Lord tribe on the planet Quartex. His headquarters is Stone Head and he pilots the Stone Wing craft.

Fictional biography
Magmar is the most cunning and evil-minded of the Rock Lords. His domineering personality and physical strength make him a fearful presence to all but the most brave. Magamr lives to conquer the rock planet Quartex. His favorite activity is combat. Wielding his Ax-Rifle with deadly accuracy, he assaults foes scattering rocks and pebbles as he goes.
Animated series
Magmar appeared in the 1986 film GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords. In the film Magmar killed other Rock Lords in order to take their power scepters. He placed these in a machine designed to channel all their power into his own scepter.

In the Transformers: Renegade Rhetoric story for episode 43, "Of Rocks and RoGuns Part 1", Boulder's tribe were captured in a collapsing tunnel by Magmar.[1]
Magmar appeared in the episode 54 story "Rock and Roll".[2]
Magmar appeared in episode 64-65 "Combiner Wars".[3]
Tombstone was featured in the 2016 Ask Vector Prime story Echoes and Fragments, set during the events of The Transformers: The Movie. The manipulations of the evil Gong and Sideways resulted in various GoBots, Rock Lords and Starriors swapping places with characters during the events of that film.[4]
Telepictures Publications
Magmar allied with Cy-Kill again in an attempt to take over the Guardian Command Center in "Conquest of the Command Center!" by Telepictures Publications the Summer of 1986.[5]
Magmar commanded his forces in "Update From Quartex" by Telepictures Publications in Winter 1987. In the story Magmar's forces attempt to force Boulder's troops into a lava river, but they are saved when Nuggit charges in with several Rockasaurs to help. Magmar and his tribe escape, vowing that they will be back.[6]
Tonka
Magmar appeared in the 1986 Tonka pack-in comic story "Powerful Living Rocks Face a Deadly New Peril".[7]

- Turns from humanoid to rock. Comes with his Ax-Rifle in black. Released by Tonka in the USA and England.
- This toy was released in slightly different color as Machine Robo: Revenge of Cronos Devilrock by Bandai.

- A release of Magmar for most of Europe. This version had a brown Ax-Rifle.
