Sean Torrington (October 26, 1980) is an American director, producer and writer. He is also known as a founder and CEO of SLAY TV (SLAY MEDIA HOUSE Inc.), the leading media company designed to uplift and empower the Black LGBTQ+ community.[1][2]

Career

SLAY MEDIA HOUSE is consist of various verticals such as, SLAY TV, our streaming platform; the premier destination for Black LGBTQ content, SLAY STUDIO, a full-service video production company, and SLAYGENCY a creative agency that focus on strategy integration, design, activations, and content for brands interested in building authentic campaigns.[3][4]

Sean has been featured in publications including NBC, ABC7 DC, GLAAD, Medium, OUT Magazine, Shadow and Act and Blavity. In addition, he has received the award for Best Web Series from Hotter Than July Film Festival; Best Web Series at the AMERICA'S RAINBOW FILM FESTIVAL; the Pride Network’s LGBT Leadership Award; and the Unapologetically Black Award from Black, Gifted and Whole. Sean is also a member of the House of Basquiat in the ball community, a Black American subculture that supports and connects LGBTQ people, made more visible through the hit reality-based series POSE on FX.[5][6][7][8]
