Grant Cardone
American motivational speaker Grant Cardone was born on March 21, 1958. He is also an author.
Cardone was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on March 21, 1958. His mother Concetta Neil Cardone and father Curtis Louis Cardone both passed away in February 1968. (died May 2009). He is the fourth of five children and has a twin brother named Gary Cardone.
1976 saw Cardone graduate from Lake Charles' LaGrange High School. From 1976 to 1981, he attended McNeese State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Cardone received the 2010 Distinguished Alumnus Award from McNeese State University.
Cardone relocated to Chicago in 1987 to work for a sales-training business. Although he resided in Chicago, he traveled the country, residing in several places. Before relocating to Houston, Texas, where he would stay for the following five years, Cardone briefly returned to Lake Charles. The following 12 years were spent by him in La Jolla, California, before he relocated to Los Angeles. Late in 2012, Cardone relocated his business from California to Miami Beach.
Cardone decided against going into accounting after college and instead entered the auto industry. Additionally, Cardone served briefly as the CEO of Freedom Motorsports Group Inc. Cardone collaborated with Atlas Media Corp. in late 2010 to create the reality television program Turnaround King for the National Geographic Channel. The show followed Cardone as he worked to make a failing company become profitable again.

Cardone owns a portfolio of properties in the US thought to be worth roughly $350 million.
Sell to Survive (2008), The Closer's Survival Guide (2009), If You're Not First, You're Last (2010), The 10X Rule (2011), and Sell or be Sold are the five books written by Cardone (2012).
Cardone was ranked seventh on the global list of the 500 Most Influential CEOs in the world in 2016 by the UK-based business Richtopia.
Cardone belongs to the Scientology church. By supporting NASCAR drivers through his business, Freedom Motorsports, he assisted in the promotion of Dianetics and Scientology in 2006.
Cardone is married to the Spanish-born actress Elena Lyons and has two daughters.
