Deepak Tailor is a London-based entrepreneur and former contestant on the BBC TV show Dragons' Den. He has created quite a number of online businesses notably LatestFreeStuff.co.uk and LatestDeals.co.uk.

Career

Deepak founded LatestFreeStuff.co.uk from his bedroom in 2012 after graduating from university, with the aim of helping other money-conscious shoppers. He set up LatestFreeStuff.co.uk to give other bargain hunters a platform to see all the current freebies in one place.[1]

The website works by listing all ways to get free stuff - including Amazon vouchers, designer perfume, and even top gadgets like iPhones.[2]

It rounds up all the companies that are looking for product testers or are giving away free samples, as well as apps and websites where you can earn money or vouchers by filling in surveys or giving your opinion.

The business grew fast, flocking thousands of people to find freebies. He also founded another online business called LatestDeals.co.uk, he acquired FreeStuff.co.uk, in a bid to become one of the UK’s largest affiliate publishers. Acquired for an undisclosed sum, FreeStuff.co.uk offers free samples, trials, prizes, and coupons on a range of brands.[3]

Deepak found fame in 2016 when he went on BBC’s Dragon’s Den, getting three offers from the dragons, he got an opportunity to stand in front of Peter Jones, Deborah Meaden, Touka Suleyman, Nick Jenkins, and Sarah Willingham, pitching for an investment of £50,000 for a 10% stake in his business.[4]

After securing offers from Sarah and Touka, it was a deal with multi-millionaire businesswoman Deborah that saw Deepak shake hands based on the exact terms he asked for back in 2016.

He has since grown LatestFreeStuff.co.uk and LatestDeals.co.uk, which have an estimated combined value of around £15 million.

He was named Disruptive Entrepreneur of the Year at the London Asian Business Awards.
