Asian-Australasian Journal of Bioscience and Biotechnology
Asian-Australasian Journal of Bioscience and Biotechnology is a triannual peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal.[1] The journal publishes state-of-the-art research articles, review articles and short communication. This journal is owned by Ebu Press Ltd, a Bangladeshi publisher that publishes scientific journals of different interests.[2]
History
The journal was founded in 2016 by a Bangladeshi microbiologist Professor Dr. S. M. Lutful Kabir from (Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh). He served as the founding Editor-in-Chief of this journal and Professor Dr. Mustafa Atasever from Ataturk University, Turkey is serving in this position since 2020.[3] From 1 July 2022, this journal started a continuous publication model which means that as soon as an article is ready to be published, it will be immediately assigned to an issue online rather than waiting for other articles to be completed, resulting in faster access to the final version.[4]
Peer-review process
The journal makes use of a single-blind peer-reviewing process[5] (the reviewers know the authors’ identities, but the authors do not know the reviewers’ identities).[6] Once a manuscript passes the initial checks, it is used to assign at least two independent experts for peer-review. Upon receiving the comments and suggestions from the referee, the authors then have a chance to revise their papers in response to the issues raised, and the review process is completed in the normal manner. After final acceptance, papers are published online as soon as authors have approved the copyediting version.
Abstracting and indexing
In January 2023, Chemical Abstracts Service indexed Asian-Australasian Journal of Bioscience and Biotechnology in their database.[7]The journal is registered in SHERPA/RoMEO, while abstracted and indexed in:
