History
Egerton Crescent Productions was founded by Charlie Burt and Omar Parker in 2015. They met at Montana State University in a Film 101 class. The company name was chosen based on a street in London Charlie had grown up on, Egerton Crescent. [1]
The company began with short films, twenty five minutes or less in runtime. El Eden, Damiana, Ultraviolet, Mud, and Salta were all award winning short films and international co-productions that were shown at festivals like Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, and Tribeca Film Ferstival. By the late 2010's and early 2020's the company began developing features. Luz, The Burying Party, Arena Wars, Death Count, Space Babes From Outer Space, and many other films were shown at festivals and then shown on streaming services and in stores.
In 2020 the company began to branch out into the digital content space. The first channel was Captain's Log, a channel dedicated to the Star Trek fandom and celebrating the long standing franchise. It reached over 200,000 subscribers and was eventually bought out by a competitor for an undisclosed amount. Around this time the company also began a relocation to Dallas, Texas. In 2023 the company launched the Tumbleweed brand, which has grown several million followers on platforms like Instagram [2] and Tiktok [3], worked with brands like Marriot, Hilton, Warner Brothers Studios, and Dunkin Donuts, and is currently expanding further into the YouTube space.
