Dandren Wanggyal is a Chinese director. He is the first Tibetan director to join the creative team of CCTV's full-length documentaries. He is also a member of the China Film Association and the Sichuan Film Association.

Wanggyal's films include the feature films Wind (2018), Summer for Wangmo (2021), and Time Picker Project (2022). He has also directed the documentaries Deep Within Shambhala (2016), Harvest China (2018), and Above the Great Rivers (2019).

Wind won the Best Film Debut Award at the 34th Golden Rooster Awards.

Wanggyal was born in Kham, Tibet, in 1985. He studied directing at the Beijing Film Academy, where he graduated in 2008. After graduating, he worked as a director's assistant on several films, before making his directorial debut with the documentary Deep Within Shambhala in 2016.

Wanggyal's films are often set in Tibet and explore themes of Tibetan culture and identity. He is known for his use of beautiful cinematography and his ability to capture the unique landscapes and people of Tibet.

Wanggyal is a rising star in Chinese cinema and is considered one of the most promising young directors in China. He is a member of the China Film Directors' Guild and the Sichuan Film Directors' Guild.
