Wayne Clarkson

Wayne Clarkson is a senior figure in the Canadian film and television industry.[1][2]
In the 1970s Clarkson worked at the Canadian Film Institute.[3]
In 1984 he assumed the directorship of what is now the Toronto International Film Festival.[3] He is credited with making many changes to the organization during his one year tenure, before he was made the first director of the Ontario Film Development Corporation, in 1985.
In 2005 Clarkson was appointed director of Telefilm Canada, a position he held until 2010.[1] Prior to his post at Telefilm Canada Clarkson directed the Canadian Film Centre.
