Ward K. Johnson, III is an American lawyer and former military officer.[1] Following his retirement from the Armed Forces Johnson joined the law faculty at the University of North Dakota. He has been a strong defender of the idea that the USA has not been committing war crimes in its treatment of the individuals held in extrajudicial detention at the Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba.[2]
