warning

This was vandalism

In this edit, you replaced an article written by someone else with "This content is deleted under Spam/Advertising law." In this particular case I see no justification for calling the page SPAM.

If a wikialpha contributor genuinely thinks an article is not compliant with Wikialpha:CSD they are supposed to tag it, not blank it.

If they have a concern, that is not one of the criteria in CSD, they are supposed to POLITELY raise that concern on the article's talk page.

I blocked you for a week, prior to leaving you this note. Now that I see you engaged in vandalism more than I first realized I am lengthening that block. You can leave a note, here, explaining you understand what you did wrong. If it is convincing I may reduce the length of your block. Geo Swan (talk) 20:48, 15 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi, Actually Sorry for those edits. It won't happen again. They are copying others so that I have edited those profiles. Can you please unblock me for the last time? Geo Swan
Template:Unblock
  • In this edit you removed the last paragraph of my warning. In particular, you removed the portion where I said I would re-instate you if you left a note "explaining you understand what you did wrong."
You did not explain that you understood what you did wrong. Try again please.

Most of us learned, in Kindergarten or Nursery School, "two wrongs don't make a right". Even if other contributors offend you, and you think they broke the rules, you are not authorized to resort to vandalism. Not even if you think they started it, and you think they resorted to vandalism first. Geo Swan (talk) 16:34, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
  • User:Geo Swan , I understood that, I vandalized many articles. And yes, I did horribly wrong. I am seeking apology to you, Please unblock me. It won't happen ever.
  • You are not actually very experienced at using a wiki, are you?
Okay, I encourage you to learn more about wiki editing.
In particular, in return for unblocking you, I am going to insist that you use a meaningful edit summary for every edit. You were not the only recent vandal. And, like most recent contributors, you do not seem to understand the utility of using meaningful edit summaries.
If the good faith contributors had been using edit summaries it would have taken far less of my time to try to undo the vandalism I saw.
As I got to be more experienced at using edit summaries I decided to re-use the same bunch of common edit summaries. I use:
more details when I add new material.
ce - cleanup edit
add reference
revert vandalism - please don't let me see you using this one unless you are sure I will agree it was vandalism, not a good faith disagreement
complicated - see talk
As a courtesy to other contributors, could we discuss complicated or controversial issues on the talk page, not in our edit summaries... - this one breaks the pattern, by not being brief. To a reasonable person it is a perfectly reasonable request. However, I usually aim this edit summary at hot-heads, and it drives them nuts. Geo Swan (talk) 17:01, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

Capitalization rules - please follow
Welcome to WikiAlpha! Please note that on WikiAlpha, you are required to capitalize names properly, use proper spacing, and use proper punctuation. This is so that the encyclopedia can be organized, searchable, and accurate. Here are some rules that you must follow. Please do not ignore these rules.
  1. Do not use ALL CAPS.
For example, Ali Khan should not be ALI KHAN.
  2. Capitalize people's last names.
For example, Ali Khan should not be Ali khan.
  3. Spaces must be put in between words.
For example, Ali Khan should not be Alikhan.
  4. In addition, please use the actual name of the person or organization, not an online alias or social media ID.
For example, Ali Khan should not be Alikhan1234.

Thank you.
