Education


Anemikaye Goodluck Matthew, originally from Okrika Rivers State, attended Sea Shell Primary School in the City of Port-Harcourt for primary education and secondary education. Upon completion, he attended Iverok International College Port-Harcourt. From 2008 to 2013 he studied Mass-Communication at Rivers State University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt before leaving the country to continue his studies in Turkey.

Anemikaye holds a B.Sc. in Mass-Communication and MA in Advertising and Publicity from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt Nigeria, and Marmara University, Istanbul Turkey, respectively. Currently, Anemikaye Goodluck Matthew is a PhD student at Kocaeli University, Kocaeli Turkey. He does research in Media and Communication Studies [1].

Academic Contribution


His most recent publications are Gender Frames and Glocalization[2], The Representation of Africa on Print Advertisements Visual Rhetorical Analysis of Western Charity Print Advertisements[3], and Advertising and Its Subtle Role of Conflict Resolution A Semiotic Analysis of Two Ads (1914 Sainsbury's Ad & Axe Peace/Call to Arms)[4] which was presented in the 13th International RAIS Conference on Social Sciences and Humanities held at Johns Hopkins University, in Montgomery County Campus, Rockville, MD, United States of America.

Career


Anemikaye has participated in different development programmes sponsored by the Nigeria Institute of Public relations (NIPR) in partnership with Niger-Delta Development Commission (NDDC). With his vast knowledge on development communication, he played a key role in a local voluntary programme named Green-Com Okrika(a voluntary action to make a clean and healthy environment via communication enlightenment programmes), as an assistant communication coordinator. As a media enthusiast and editorial writer with Weekly Star, a weekly newspaper organization in Port Harcourt Nigeria, Anemikaye contributed to the editorial space on education, health and political discourses of the news platform.

Outside his home country, his professional contribution to the communication department of a Turkish Government Organization, Turk Teknoloji Takimi (TTT)[5], as communication personnel are properly noted with certification by the Turkish authorities. As a media pundit, Anemikaye Goodluck owns a media platform named Riverswatch which covers News Reporting, Investigative Journalism, Information, Education, and Entertainment in Rivers State. His hobbies include Fishing, Reading African novels, Playing soccer and video games.
