USCGC Biscayne Bay

The USCGC Biscayne Bay is an United States Coast Guard Cutter.[1] She was built by Tacoma Boatbuilding in Tacoma, Washington, in 1979, and was the fourth Bay class icebreaking tug. She is homeported in St. Ignace Michigan and is one of the Coast Guard vessels that patrols the North American Great Lakes Great Lakes. In addition to serving as an icebreaker in winter her duties include "Search and Rescue, Maritime Law Enforcement, Port, Waterways, and Coastal Waterways Security, Public Affairs, Marine Environmental Protection, and Homeland Security."
