Coffman was charged with lying to investigators. I suspect that prosecutors laid that charge, rather than charging her with something more serious, like "material support for terrorism", because they had already determined she had no actual connection to ISIS, so that charge wouldn't stick.

I wonder, if she had simply admitted her activities, would she have escaped being charged, escaped being convicted? Geo Swan (talk) 05:51, 17 March 2019 (UTC)
