SnowGlobe Music Festival is an annual three-day music festival that takes place on the Lake Tahoe Community Playfields, located in South Lake Tahoe, CA. Debuting in December, 2011, SnowGlobe billed itself as a unique festival experience that combined "the world's best musicians with the world's best snow conditions."[1][2] Because the event takes place outdoors during the winter, South Lake Tahoe's ski and snowboard culture have become a large part of the festival's identity and experience. In addition to the event being in close proximity to both Heavenly Mountain Resort and Sierra-at-Tahoe, SnowGlobe also features a 'Big Air' jump on the festival grounds that features local, regional, and pro skiers and snowboarders in between Main Stage sets. [3] The SnowGlobe Big Air is Lake Tahoe's largest man-made feature. [4][5]

History

The festival took place at Bijou Park at the Lake Tahoe Community College from 2011-2015, before moving to the Lake Tahoe Community Playfields in 2016.
