Sahra Ardah (also known as "Sara Canizal Sardon") is a Spanish art director, writer and journalist.[1] She is the co-founder of Transcontinental Times, a Spanish-based news media firm.[2]

Early life and education

Ardah was born and brought up in a middle-class family in Salamanca, Spain. She holds a PhD in History of Art from the University of Salamanca in (2009), and Journalism Master Honors from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain in (2009-2011).[1]

Career

Ardah has been an international artist and teacher of Spanish descent for years now.[3][4] She is first and only Spaniard who holds the title of merit granted by the famous Egyptian master Zaza Hassan for her humility to learn and her ability to teach and spread her original method.[5]

Ardah's academic training led her to delve into the origins of oriental dance and Arabic folklore.[6][7] In 2013, she published her first book titled The University of Salamanca from the post-war period to the present: Architectural heritage and urban transcendence (Spanish Edition).[8]

In 2019, Ardah produced a short film titled The Shoes which won a prestigious award of Recognition for Liberation/Social Justice/Protest from the Accolade Global Film Competition.[9] The film also received special mentions from the Global Shorts Film Competition in Los Angeles in April, 2020.[10][11]

In 2020, Ardah co-founded Transcontinental Times, a news media house based in Madrid, Spain.[12]

Personal life

In December 2018, Sahra got married to Roshan Bhondekar and they have a baby boy.[1]
