Rashtrapati Award

Presidential Awards were given by the President of India, in some cases by the Prime Minister of India, for achievements in the fields of sports, arts, military, literature, cinema, culture, science and technology, or Scouting. The prize distribution ceremony was held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, the official residence of the President. The awards were a part of the Indian honor system.
