At the time of her husband's death, on April 10, 2021, Queen Elizabeth had ten great-grandchildren.[1] Her grandson Prince Harry, and his wife Meghan Markle were expecting a daughter, in the late summer.

The rank in the Royal Succession depends on the rank of their parents and grandparents. Up until the passage of the Succession to the Crown Act 2013 daughters were always superceded by younger brothers, so the Queen's daughter, Princess Anne was superceded by her younger brothers, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, and her granddaughter, Savannah Phillips, ranks below her uncles, even though she is the eldest greatgrandchild. The 2013 Act made the order strictly chronological, so [[Princess Charlotte was not superceded by her younger brother Prince Louie, and Lucas Tindall did not supercede his older sisters Mia and Lena.
