According to the Long War Journal Osman Karahan was a Turkish citizen and lawyer, who was killed in Aleppo, Syria.[1] Karahan founded the Association for the Protection of Human Law.

He was killed in Syria on August 3, 2012.[1] In 2006 the Washington Post quoted Karahan asserting he defended 80 percent of the suspected jihadists in Turkey.[2]

One of Karahan's most prominent clients was Louai Sakka.[2]
