Orion is a fictional character and third-party Transformer homage to Generation 1 Optimus Prime made by Toyworld in 2013.

Toyworld

Orion is a third-party Transformer who turns into a semi-truck. He is an homage to the Transformers characters Optimus Prime.

Other third-party Transformer homages to Optimus Prime include Mastermind Creations' Commander and iGear's Faith Leader.

Development

Toyworld first teased an outline of TW-02 on their web site in May 2012.[1]

Toyworld posted prototype images of TW-02 in robot and truck mode to their web site in May 2013. They said it would come out in August 2013.[2]

In July 2013 Toyworld announced the toy would be named Orion and released color images of the toy.[3]

In 2014 Reprolabels made a set of labels for Orion which make it look more like Optimus Prime.
