Early Life
Tennessee’s Nomad Nmoh will tell you himself that he’s an average joe, but the second one presses play on his music, the range in his artistry cannot be denied. Nmoh’s passion and raw knowledge for the artform makes it easy for anyone to find high quality music that fits directly with their taste. After taking a hiatus in 2020, 2021 saw Nomad Nmoh explode onto the scene with a number of shows in and out of Atlanta. Nmoh’s already got a headstart on 2022 with his debut EP, “Roadrunner” a six track project where the Tennessee artist stretches his arms fully showcasing his abilities. He’s just getting started. Growing up in Nashville Tennessee, Nomad Nmoh was immersed in the music and art form from the jump. Born to two Nigerian parents, he was exposed to a wide variety of music. “He [my father] has an extensive collection of vinyl, tapes, cds, etc, I soaked in a lot of different sounds daily.” Nmoh recalls. On the other end Nmoh’s mom listened to gospel and even had our hero join the Children's Choir at one point. “I would eat and breathe music at the house it was only natural to start writing my own songs and such,” Nmoh continues. Nmoh wasn’t just listening, the Tennessee artist was discovering creating art as his own pace too. He’d join 5th grade band, find his love for performing and eventually leave it behind in high school but that was all Nmoh needed to get started.
Nmoh’s music transcends the strict lines and boundaries of genre, weaving in and out of different lanes as he pleases. His artistic and musical background from doing Choir to playing instruments up through Middle School, his expertise shines through the music. Couple this with Nmoh’s otherworldly ear for production, and we’re listening to an artist who’s ahead of his time. Nmoh stands out in this landscape, because he’s hungry and constantly working to grow and release more as an artist. The Nashville standout has spent the last two years perfecting his craft and testing the waters with tracks like “Outta Town” & two tracks that received “MadMixes”. A true testament of passion, Nmoh looks to instill perseverance and hope in his audience. “Anything is possible,” Nmoh says, “Believe in yourself…despite the obstacles. Walk the walk don’t just talk the talk.”
Career
2020 saw Nmoh go on a slight hiatus, during that hiatus, he took time to focus on himself and the life he wanted to create. In 2021, Nmoh put all his growth into action, releasing seven tracks and performing all over Atlanta. “Although, I’ve been in music since 2018, 2021 felt like the true prelude,” the Nomad explains. The beginning of 2022 had the Tennesse artist release their debut project the “Roadrunner” EP. In his rookie project, we can hear the evolution of the Nomad when compared to his first few singles. “Roadrunner” sees Nmoh team up with his peers in K1ng Prince and DruLuv, showing and proving he can collaborate with different styles. The scariest part about “Roadrunner” is that Nmoh hasn’t reached his final form yet and he knows it. With plans to release an EP every three months while currently being on tour, with another tour run in the works.
