Milan "Rouge" Harris (born on April 26, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American fashion designer and entrepreneur.[1] She is the founder and CEO of Milano Di Rouge, a luxury streetwear brand in Philadelphia.[2]

Early life

Harris was born on April 26, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[3]

Career

In December 2012, Harris founded and started a Philadelphia-based luxury apparel brand, Milano Di Rouge, which means "Making Dreams Reality."[4][5][6][3]

In April 2015, she did her fashion show which was a hit and which was her biggest breakthrough into the business.[7]

In 2016, she opened her brand's first store in her hometown, West Philadelphia.[3] She was also was selected Designer-in-Residence at the Macy's in Center City, Philadelphia.[8]

In August 2018, she started a female entrepreneurs club, the Womanaire Club.[9][7] She has also created a mothers' support club, the Mamanaire Club.[10]

In November 2022, she celebrated her brand's 10 year anniversary with their "The Dream Continues" Fashion Experience and Gala, in Atlanta, Georgia. The event took place at The Stave Room, attended by hundreds of celebrities and fashion designers.[11]

Harris also currently owns a local food truck, College Boy Cheesesteaks.[12]

Philanthropy work

Harris has donated more than $50,000 to single mothers in Philadelphia at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. She has has funded Thanksgiving, Christmas and back-to-school drives for Philadelphia children and families and has also donated the nonprofit organization, Soles4Souls.[10]

Personal life

Harris' son Czar was born in May 2020.[13][4]
