Megan Euker (born May 30, 1983) is an Italian and American artist and designer.[1] She is a two-time Fulbright grant recipient to Italy.[2][3] She is additionally the book agent for Wall Street Journal Bestselling Author Patrick Girondi and the music agent for Patrick Girondi & the Orphan's Dream.[4]

Early life and education

Euker was born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1983. She earned both BFA and MFA degrees from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago between 2005 and 2007.[5]

Career

Since 2008, Euker has exhibited artwork internationally at museums and galleries (represented by Linda Warren Projects.[6] She did a solo exhibition, The Cure at The International Museum of Surgical Science (IMSS) in Chicago.[7] She has additionally curated three exhibitions of her students work at the IMSS, Chicago, featuring medical devices created under her mentorship.[8][9] Euker has also been featured at Matthew Rachman Gallery[10] The University Club of Chicago,[11] The Storefront Project, New York.[12] and other galleries and venues.

Euker’s artwork has appeared on the covers of Wall Street Journal Bestselling book Flight of the Rondone, by Patrick Girondi published by Skyhorse Publishing,[13] as well as New City by Patrick Girondi published Skyhorse Publishing.[14] Her work has also appeared on the cover of The Philosophy of Sex by Raja Halwani[15] and the music albums Orphan’s Return[16] and The Final Chapter (Patrick Girondi & the Orphan’s Dream).

Euker works with San Rocco Therapeutics as the Project Manager in their efforts to bring a safe and accessible gene therapy cure to patients with Sickle Cell Disease and Beta Thalassemia.[17] She has taught at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago,[18] University of South Florida; and the Accademia di Belle Arti in Siracusa, Sicily.[19]

Awards and honors

Euker received two Fulbright grants to Italy,[20] She was also the recipient of two Faculty Enrichment Grants from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; a Compassion and Belonging Grant from the same School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has also received the Artists’ Fellowship, Inc. Grant; Change, Inc. Grant; Artist Assistance Grant; two Community Arts Assistance Program (CAAP) and two DCASE grants.[5]
