Luca Formentini was born and raised in Brescia, Italy. He now lives in San Martino della Battaglia, where he produces wines[1] in his family's winery for which has been awarded as one of the best 100 Italian wine producers.[2] He is a sustainability activist.[3] [4] Had the first musical connection with piano when he was ten, he started playing guitar at 14. He formed his first band with Francesco Renga, after Modus Vivendi disbanded he started to collaborate with members of other local bands such as Art Fleury and Dietrich. He took part to the International community called Looper's Delight, based on the mutual interest on Looping devices and techniques. His first solo compositions have appeared in publications such as those of the international experimental collective CT-Collective. His first solo release is Subterraneans, in 2003 (Auditorium), followed by Tacet (2007, Extreme Records). After a few collaborations he got back to solo releases in 2018 with Scintilla (Audiobulb and Ritmo & Blu), Art Spaces Vol1 (2020, Laverna) and Intra (2021, Subcontinental Records)[5]. He has played live and recorded with artists ranging through many musical contexts. In the first 10's of the 2000 he started having an intense live activity, which brought him to play in the USA, Japan and Europe.
