Early Life

Istiak Ahmed was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on March 19, 1994. Since he was a child, he wanted to be like his father and become a businessman.

However, a creative spark was ignited in him at the young age of 14 when he discovered his passion for poetry and storytelling.

When he reached the age of 22, his journey took a significant turn as he got into fashion and lifestyle photography. This deepened his passion for the creative arts. Alongside his artistic pursuits, he also pursued his childhood dream of becoming a businessman and started some small ventures.

One of his notable achievements was starting a Men's Lifestyle Brand called "Grab" at the age of 22. This brand operated as an F-commerce platform in 2012. This was during the early days of e-commerce when the first major e-commerce company in the country, akhoni.com, was founded in 2011.

Education

He obtained his Secondary School Certificate (SSC) from Tejgaon Govt. High School and his Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Milestone College. Subsequently, he enrolled at Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology to pursue a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Marketing. Following the completion of his undergraduate studies, he furthered his education by joining BRAC University, where he embarked on an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program, also concentrating on Marketing.

In 2016, Istiak embarked on his professional path by joining Ohmigosh, a Lifestyle Brand, as a Social Media Manager. His role revolved around devising strategies to drive more traffic to the company's website, overseeing social media initiatives, and monitoring the profitability of their social media efforts. In addition, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the website's user-friendliness, aesthetics, and content to convert visitors into customers. Istiak was also responsible for crafting marketing campaign strategies, laying the foundation for his successful career in the realm of digital marketing and social media management.

In 2019, he took on a new challenge as a Marketing Executive at Dekko ISHO Group, where he concentrated on promoting their ISHO and Izakaya brands. Istiak managed online communities, administered social media accounts, and created captivating content to engage the target audience. He actively monitored competitors' social media strategies, generating insightful reports for comparison. His contribution to brainstorming sessions and his pivotal role in planning and organizing events for Izakaya highlighted his creative and event promotion abilities.

In this capacity, Istiak orchestrated long-term brand strategies, collaborated across teams, and spearheaded marketing campaigns. He ensured that his team met deadlines and fostered collaboration with media and advertising agencies. His primary objective was to not only attract new customers but also retain existing ones. He oversaw branding, advertising, and promotions, leveraging data to evaluate the efficacy of marketing initiatives and innovate with new ideas.

Under his leadership, his team achieved remarkable milestones. They secured the prestigious Superbrands Award for Gazi Pumps & Motors, a significant achievement for the Gazi Group. Furthermore, they elevated the company's social media presence by 25% on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
