Igor Lanis was an American who was shot and killed by police.[1][2] Authorities say his death occurred during a standoff after he tried to kill his family, on September 11, 2022.

Shot and killed his wife and the family dog, and shot and injured Rachel his eldest daughter.[1][2] Younger daughter Rebecca escaped the violence because she was not at home.

Family members say he was motivated by his obsession with the Qanon conspiracy.[1] His daughter Rebecca said he had been a loving parent, before he succumbed to conspiracy theories.[2]
