Glowstrike was one of the numerous Decepticons incarcerated aboard the Alchemor and freed when Megatronus caused the ship to crash land on Earth. Christening their new home "Decepticon Island," Glowstrike and two of her compatriots-Scorponok and Saberhorn-took leadership of many of their fellow former inmates, and set about attempting to restore the Alcehmor to functionality in order to use it to launch a campaign of terror across the galaxy. However, their efforts were hampered by numerous failures on behalf of their minions-such as Kickback-which led them to welcome the devious Decepticon Steeljaw into their midst. Steeljaw quickly proved his worth by recruiting several new warriors to the cause of Decepticon Island; however, he also lured Scorponok into a trap that led to his apprehension by Bumblebee and his team.
Glowstrike and Saberhorn eventually trusted Steeljaw with the task of unlocking a pair of Decepticon Hunters stored aboard the ship, only to have him claim both and seize power over the island. Though furious at this betrayal, Glowstrike and Saberhorn could do little in the face of Steeljaw's weaponry. When Bumblebee lost his Decepticon Hunter as a result of a battle aboard the island, Glowstrike attempted to wield it against Steeljaw only to be overwhelmed by his use of the pair he already possessed. She and her fellow Decepticons were presumably reincarcerated after being disabled by the Bee Team's stasis bomb.
