Dr. Abdulla-Al-Asif returned to GRCL in July 2022, taking on the role of Executive Director of the company. His research focuses on the seagrass-mangrove complex, associated benthos ecology, and blue carbon dynamics in the South China Sea (Western Pacific Ocean). At present, Dr. Abdulla-Al-Asif holds the esteemed position of Executive Director at Genesis Research Consultancy Limited (GRCL). This globally recognized research consultancy company stands at the forefront, catering to a diverse clientele that includes students, authors, editors, journals, researchers, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), medical health professionals, and numerous other stakeholders. He has a keen interest in aquaculture, particularly fish farming-related technologies, such as Responsible Aquaculture Practices (RAP), and has received training in studying marine ecology and biodiversity. Abdulla-Al-Asif is an experienced academic marine ecologist who has investigated seagrass-mangrove-associated gastropods, bivalves, and other benthos, mainly in Sarawak, Malaysia.
