Krista Ford, when she was a business student and captain of the Toronto Triumph, of the Lingerie Football League. Ford is the neice of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford and daughter of city councilor Doug Ford.

Due to her family connections she was described as one of the first potential stars of the Lingerie Footbal League, who could lift it from solely peep show coverage. However Ford and most of her team, the Toronto Triumph, resigned over safety concerns.

The league is controversial. Management have asserted that players have to have legitimate athletic skilss, but must still be good looking. Ford was described as a potential star of the League, before she had played a single game, as she had pre-existing notability due to her family connections. Ford tried out for the team in a sweatshirt, but told interviewers she would not be embarrassed to compete wesring the team's lingerie uniforms. I believe the article is improved if readers can form their own opinion on her appearance.

In August 2012 Ford stirred controversy over a tweet that warned women that to stay safe from sexual assault they should carry mace, learn self defence, and not dress like sluts. This remark stirred great controversy, with some commentators claiming there was a discrepancy between the remark and her former uniform. Other commentators said that to mock her over her former uniform would be to make the same mistake she made.
