Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide, consisting of five amino acids, and functions as a growth hormone secretagogue. It acts as an agonist, binding to specific cell receptors and initiating a cellular response. By stimulating the pituitary gland, Ipamorelin promotes the secretion of growth-related substances in animal test subjects. Interestingly, it also inhibits the production of somatostatin, a specific secretion. Moreover, Ipamorelin has been observed to enhance the production of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1), which is crucial for the growth and repair of muscular and skeletal tissues.
