Asmin Giri (in Nepali: अस्मिन गिरी) also known as Emikid, is a Nepalese rapper, lyricist, author, and music producer from Lamahi, Dang. He was from a society where people treat rappers as bad influencers/people. He was inspired by his uncle's books to write his own book. He was also inspired by a book named "The Rudest Book Ever" by Shwetabh Gangwar to write his own book. That is the reason, his first book's name little bit match with that book. He is also a fitness enthusiast as he also known as "Greek God[1]."

Asmin as Emikid
Asmin Giri, also known as Emikid, is a Nepalese rapper, lyricist, author, and music producer from Lamahi, Dang.
Emikid, this name tells the half story itself. He was inspired by Eminem so, he copies/uses Emi from Eminem. Juice Wrld was one of the first rappers to whom he used to listen to. The first rapper whose biography he read was Juice Wrld. He read that Juice Wrld’s initial name was Juice The Kidd so, he copies/uses Kidd as (kid) from Juice Wrld. That’s why he chose Emikid as his stage name to give respect to his first inspirations.
Asmin as Greek God
Emikid aka Asmin also known for another name "Greek God", for his Greek's god type physique. He has a very attracting body with no steroid's consumption at the age of 15. He is so much popular in his school/college for his body more than his music and all. He's inspiration for starting working on his body are his friends who used to tease him or body shame him for having a obese physique.
He was the one who made fitness and gym kind of stuff more popular in his college, peer circle, and society as well. He started a revolution to be on a better BMI and fat percentage in his college. Even teachers admire his efforts and dedication towards fitness. After getting inspired by Emikid's physique, many of his friends also have started going to the gym and taking care of their body. Greek God, Emikid also teaches his friends how to get in shape and maintain diet routines.
He keeps uploading his progress on his Facebook and Instagram, handles to keep motivating his friend circle and other audience to focus on his/her physique. He said, "In the last 8 months there isn't even a one day I haven't done exercise or sweating physical work. Because of his dedication in fitness his friends call him "Greek God", which is also a suitable name for a teen which has a great physique like Asmin Giri.
Career
At the age of 11, he wrote his first rap in English but he wasn’t satisfied with it and he decided to write rap in English after 1 year. So, at the age of 12, he wrote his first Nepali rap name as “Kalakaar”. After getting decent good reviews from his friends he started uploading rap music on YouTube. But he uploaded English rap as his first rap music on YouTube. But lately, he started uploading Nepali rap songs due to the language barriers and not decent English lyrics. His English lyrics weren’t that much good as his Nepali.
At the age of 13, he released 2 EP. The first one was “Dead Evil” second one was “Real Freestyle Rap EP” which was a freestyle rap ep, nothing in it was pre-written. 2nd Ep also includes English freestyle. He gets good reviews from his listeners in his 2nd Ep. At this same age, he also released a lyrical shit track like “Hustlers” featuring “Movil” an Indian rapper. Then released lots of tracks including Soch, Taco, Kasari, etc. After sometime later he released his first album “Pain in Gain” on 27 April 2021 on all major streaming services. He also gets many good reviews for his first album “Pain in Gain”.
Then he drops his second album "Wackstape". Also this album included 8 tracks including 7 songs and 1 interlude type track. This album didn't got so much reach but he got much appreciate for the limited audience. 'Jaadu' and 'Lobhiyeko Mann' are the most listened track of the whole album. He have collab with Bvek, Hoobeza, Sands Trap and Rohaaan in this album. He have also remaked one of the famous track 'Death Bed' as Nepali remix of it named as 'Death Bed Nepali Remix'.
This album got so much vibe into it. This is not a very good album but it is not that bad album. It is a decent album with lots of emotions. It deserves a listen. He have 2 new albums for now. One is "1 AM" and another one is "Wings With Liberty." 1 AM, was release on 2022 3rd August which have 16 songs without any interludes or skits. The album has 150k+ streams worldwide in all streaming platforms. Only Spotify has 100k+ streams. "Angalne Xu Timi Lai Ma" and "0 To 100 (Remix)" are the most streamed and popular song from the album. After releasing that album he got more than 10k+ monthly listeners on his Spotify artist page. So, "1 AM" the album has been turning point for Emikid.
His new recent album name is "Wings With Liberty (Fly Without Fear)." Wings With Liberty (Fly Without Fear), was released on 2023 27th January which have 11 songs without any interludes or skits like his previous album "1 AM". This album was also a good for Emikid. Songs like "Maya Ko Tira Le", "Dhan Godne Bela Bho (Rap Remix)" "Billie Eilish (Nepali Remix)", "I'm a Pop Smoke (Nepali Version)", "Angalne Xu Timi Lai Ma (Rap Version)" & "Satrangi Fhula Jhai" got good amount of streams and reviews by the listeners. After releasing this album Emikid's spotify artist page got more than 16k+ monthly listeners for some weeks. He reached 7k+ spotify followers after this album got released. This album hadn't got more streams as "1 AM" did for this did a great job for Emikid.

Personal Life
He was born on 1st June 2007 in Lamahi. He was the 2nd child of Mr. Anirudhra Giri and Mrs. Pushpa Yogi. He has also an elder sibling sister name "Asmita Giri." He was inspired by Eminem, J Cole, Juice Wrld, Kr$na, Biggie, MF Doom, and so on for starting his initial raping stage.
He get lots of hate by his neiborhood for being a rapper. He is from a society where rapper isn't treated well. Even though of so much hate he keeps moving forward in his musical career.
