Dump truck

Dumper is a fictional character from the GoBots series. He is heroic Guardian GoBot who turns into a dump truck introduced in 1983.

GoBots

Dumper is a Guardian GoBot who turns into a dump truck. He is the twin brother of Pumper.

Reception

Dumper was chosen as the 9th goofiest GoBot name by Topless Robot in 2010.[1]

Fictional biography

Although he's always getting dumped on, Dumper doesn't mind-he's strong enough to handle loads of work and determined to destroy the Enemy GoBots.[2]

Abilities

Like most GoBots, Dumper has numerous abilities because of robotic body. He can survive in space and is super-humanly strong and tough. He can fly in robot mode and project energy blasts from his hands. His body heals quickly when supplied with energy. He can turn into a dump truck.

Animated series

In the Challenge of the GoBots episode "It's The Thought That Counts" Cy-Kill, Cop-Tur, Crasher, Geeper-Creeper, Pincher, and Snoop attack a lab, but it is defended by Leader-1, Professor von Joy, Blaster, Dozer, Dumper, Road Ranger, Scooter, Scratch and Turbo. Although the Guardians were winning the battle, an accidental backfire from Professor von Joy's weapon allows the Renegades to escape.[3]

Books

The twins Dumper and Pumper were among the Security Force team assembled by Leader-1 to capture Cy-Kill in the story Escape To Planet Earth.

Dumper was featured in the 1986 children's book Collision Course Comet.[4] In the book he fought the Renegade Crasher to protect some human scientists.

Comics

Fun Publications

Dumper was featured in the 2016 Ask Vector Prime story Echoes and Fragments, set during the events of The Transformers: The Movie. The manipulations of the evil Gong and Sideways resulted in various GoBots swapping places with characters during the events of that film. Dumper was trapped in the wreckage of the shuttle Megatron had commandeered at the battle of Guardian City.[5]

Rhetoricverse

Dumper was mentioned in the Fun Publications 2015 Ask Vector Prime Facebook series when it was hosted by Cy-Kill. In one story Cy-Kill mentioned how he was once captured by Bullseye, Dive-Dive, Dozer, Dumper and Pumper. Although captured, Cy-Kill set his Thruster to self destruct, which injured Dozer and Dumper.[6]
