Dove Rose Windsor (8 November 1999 – 18 March 2024) was a British painter and sketcher hailing from Leicester, England. Windsor had garnered widespread recognition for her own distinctive portraits of the late iconic actress, model, and humanitarian Audrey Hepburn (1929–1993). She described Hepburn as her "biggest inspiration, eternal soulmate and spiritual partner". On 18 March 2024, Windsor died at the age of 24, at her home residence in Tolochenaz, Vaud, Switzerland. Windsor was laid to rest beside her beloved Audrey on 30 March 2024. Windsor also left a note in her pink journal, which was reflected as her final words before she left this world. Life and career

Windsor was born in Birmingham, England and grew up in Leicester, England. She attended Ravenhurst Primary School and later continued her education at Gryphon School. Windsor pursued her passion for art by studying at Leicester College and engaging with the local arts community through Soft Touch Arts. Windsor died in Tolochenaz, Switzerland on 18 March 2024, aged 24.

Windsor's artistic journey led her from Birmingham to Leicester in February 2004 and later to Tolochenaz, Vaud, Switzerland in September 2023. Her portraits of Hepburn have garnered widespread acclaim for their ethereal quality and deep resonance with audiences. Windsor's work has been featured in prestigious publications, showcasing her unique artistic vision. Beyond her artwork, Windsor had interests in gaming, anime, and manga, demonstrating her appreciation for storytelling and visual creativity. She was known for inspiring quotes like "If life doesn't give you wings; grow them yourself," reflecting her approach to art and life with creativity, passion, and resilience.

In January 2022, Windsor was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), which she had embraced as an integral part of her identity and artistic expression. She identified as asexual and was deeply spiritual, had lived a life marked by profound individuality and self-awareness.

Windsor's legacy extends beyond her artwork, as she had inspired others with her journey of self-discovery and artistic expression. Her dedication to personal growth and community engagement, including participation in the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme and the Duke Of Edinburgh expedition, have left a lasting impact.
